Happy New Year!

“For last year's words belong to last year's language. And next year's words await another voice. And to make an end is to make a beginning.”
                                                                  -T.S. Eliot

Happy New Year Grain Train Community! It is easy to look back and want to shoo 2020 out of the door but we would be remiss if we did not pause and reflect on this past year. Words like resiliency, adaptation, flexibility, community, and gratitude come to mind and those are words worth savoring.

Our team has worked through tense, frightening and unprecedented times in 2020. Our gratitude to them runs deep. Today, we have team members working in positions and shifts that did not exist prior to last March. Mask wearing, social distancing and frequent sanitization have become a way of life. It has not been easy but in the midst of all that has occurred this year, we are still here 7 days a week, with extended hours and a new Curbside program that is here to stay. Those are things to celebrate.

Our gratitude also runs deep to you, our customers and community. Thank you for sticking by us as we stumbled in the beginning of the pandemic to keep our doors open and shelves stocked. Thank you for your patience as we rolled out our Curbside program. Thank you for understanding as we have made, adjusted, and upheld policies put in place to keep everyone in the Grain Train as safe as possible. We know that those policies mean we only see some of you Curbside or while we shop in the moment for you, and we thank you so much for continuing to shop with us.

We are so grateful to be walking into our 50th year of operation at the Grain Train. That is also something to celebrate! 2021 is bound to hold some of the same challenges as 2020 and bring some new ones along, but we could not be more excited to continue serving you. 2020 has taught us how to keep going and move forward even in the midst of great uncertainty. Welcome 2021! We are here to celebrate your arrival. We bid you farewell 2020. We have learned so much from you.

We will see all of you in the stores or Curbside! Happy New Year!
