Wow, what a week it has been. We have a lot of gratitude going around at the Grain Train. Gratitude for our staff who are showing up for the Grain Train community in so many ways that it makes our hearts full to the brim. We could not be prouder of our team! There is so much gratitude for our greater community and the web that is being cast to make sure that everyone is cared for. Gratitude to all who are working to get food to us and all the grocery stores to replenish shelves. Perhaps most of all, so much gratitude to all those out there working the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our gratitude is also extended to you and your understanding that it is not a business-as-usual-world right now.
There have been a lot of changes to our three locations in relation to COVID-19 and more are undoubtedly coming. We are updating our website daily and you can stay connected with what is happening at the Grain Train here. Below you will find a summary of our COVID-19 response to date.
We know that there are not any easy answers right now. Everyone is doing the best they can in the moment and from there we move forward. We will leave you with a quote from J.R.R. Tolkien's, The Fellowship of the Ring: “The world is indeed full of peril, and in it there are many dark places; but still there is much that is fair, and though in all lands love is now mingled with grief, it grows perhaps the greater.”
